Our History
Originally from the Dominican Republic, a Civil Engineering graduate, I arrived in the United States in 2016, full of dreams, trying to find my true passion. In DR I left my whole life, my family and my puppies, and I came to start from scratch.
My dream was to organize myself to be able to bring my puppies with me; Jauja and Gordo were waiting for me.
I was lucky enough to start working in grooming for dogs and cats, for the first time in my life I found what I was truly passionate about, kissing, hugging and pampering animals.
My goal was to work day and night, prepare myself to be a great Groomer, save enough to open a space where the Puppies would be happy, a place where the parents of the dogs would feel confident and calm knowing that their babies are in good hands.
A dream that with many obstacles could become reality.
I made it!!! With 5 years in the USA I managed to train and managed to open my Happy place 🥰
Unfortunately I couldn’t bring Jauja but I did bring Gordo, in memory of Jauja my happy place is called Jauja pet…

Why Jauja?
Jauja means happiness, paradise, prosperity and abundance. In the saddest moments of my life, someone very special gave me a dog and we called her Jauja, hoping that only joy would reign in my life. Wherever I went, thinking of JAUJA gave me happiness and peace of mind, that’s why I created Jauja pet, which for me is My happy place…
